i love this house so much.
its in provincetown in the west end, you know the one, maybe.. but ive loved watching it evolve over the past year or so.. especially the front yard's phoenix- like coming into itself, in the form of.. resplendent bloom! and wow- blooms with such personality and flair. real mood changers, they are.
AND IF YOU'VE EVER knelt in the dirt and dug around and truly truly worked, weeding and planting and making big or small dreamy mistakes 💚😆 you already know that making a garden that behaves as a thriving community is no small thing!... (never mind creating one that is actually celebrating)
SO I LOVED PAINTING THIS yard dance and house flower show with a live music vibe- a flowers as bros sharing gorgeous chaos, if you will.. (bros playful and not gendered btw just cracking myself up here) but MOSTLY i was hoping i could show the actual dionysian ecstasy of such wonderful blooms, swaying as one happy hot crowd, feeling symbiotic and totally connected with one another, in some home festival of shared passion and faith...
..admittedly made anthropomorphic perhaps, oohh bc im a geeked out gardener ✋🏼👩🏼🎨 using color and strokes to say omg I LOVE THAT SONG. in life. in our life yards. that song. when there is harmony that makes strangers happy together and new friends.
SO ENJOY this summer color party. celebrate the resurrection + new chapter energy of beloved spaces that are lovingly cultivated, and hell, tip yr hat if you are lucky enough to walk by this lovely house/garden in person..
and obvs this piece would be my hat tip, some sort of kindred holy wink + tired smile, to all the community creators. 🎩😘 xoxo
