hi darlings 
i was working on a series of hummingbird paintings that began with a commission - and then i realized each one of the piece's backgrounds were are ABSOLUTELY inspired by a wall of fashion (ha)  that i see all the time at my house
and i guess another time ill casually ask hey does anyone else sometimes display their clothes as decor or maybe its a mood board or um a disorder situation? 
no? ok well THE POINT IS IM LOVING SEEING
these shimmerStar beauties mingling with perfect familiarity amid a real fusion of textures and colors, a fusion that ive been enjoying seeing share the same space with where i painted them.. 
it was fun to realize that i had been incorporating several vintage ties and some spectacularly colored shirts from my active periphery, onto the magical hummingbirds immediate landscape and overall vibe 
there are mod flavors, 70s flavors, a little boho lilly P meets jean seberg meets beach boys polyester plaid pants harmony meets party golf dad feelings .. know what i mean? 
and if not, oh thats not yr fault im a weird one 
just come visit me in the studio some day and ill have a lot of fun describing it to you
