WELL MY FRIENDS 
honestly ive been surprised and delighted at the hummingbird love ive gotten since i started painting them- 
SO this piece is a response to a few of my favorite dear souls asking if id paint more!! 😍
AND... i already knew i loved painting fall leaves, but it turns out (!) that painting fall foliage along with birds, is a truly meditative and peaceful way for me to get covered in paint all while prayer-wishing safe travels to such amazing creatures. 
amazing creatures who are ASTONISHING migrators, btw, often traveling hundreds of miles all alone, in all weather, all while being remarkably tiny!
SO I WANTED this piece to be about FEELING ON TOP OF THE WORLD, a combination of feeling good and looking good, sure, but more so ABOUT BEING WITHIN the ACTION OF CHANGE, and a celebration of feeling like you belong, in any circumstance or environment, bc you have peace. 
i wanted this bird's face to reveal gratitude for a full belly, much preparation, and energy for/synergy with the skies ahead- which surely hold both storms and sun-
