i got a bike last october 
and i rode and rode it
all through the cape cod national seashore trails all throughout the trails overlooking the dunes over the hills and deep down in between the sweet valleys 
it felt like i was actually breathing in the provincelands into my whole body my being 
and one of my favorite parts was coming back through town at deep dusk as i glided along with strolling people,  both friends and strangers alike,
the kindred birds overhead 
and the light all natures disco delicious 
the vibes sweet and high
ONE NIGHT when i got home
i painted this, about my night ride 
about what i saw 
and how i felt
