this is a garden celebration at sunset.
with some of my favorite guest stars- hummingbirds. there is one obvious magician hummingbird and another one a bit more camouflaged.

now INITIALLY 
i had some absolutely gorgeous iris superstars blooming their hearts out daily outside of the house recently, and they took my breath away Every Single Day. So i started painting the irises first.

 i decided to do the most gentle barely visible connecting things, between these two hummingbirds in this sunsetty garden, bc of my walk up to the studio yesterday
walking in the realreal feeling summer day,
i heard the barest bits of a fav song coming out of a car that went driving past me then vanished
it was only a few notes that disappeared into thin air but they stopped time, wound themselves inside of gravity, rejected all calendars, then spun some sparkling thread involving quantum physics and memory

so when i got up there to paint it made good sense to take my time deciding just where between these birds the softest of spheres might float between them 
full of oxygen 
of scent of energy 
full of deep time 
just where would they go 
these notes hovering like ancient instants
full of hope and sweet nectar spinning
